Good morning, my name is Kirk. My wife and I are driving down to VA this weekend to see the '88 Crown for sale. We fell in love with Crowns about 2 years ago when we stumbled across the '64 SuperCrown (Northern Arizona University - NAU) which its very likely that my wife's parents rode in when they attended NAU. Both have since passed so it was sorta sentimental to get that bus but we just couldn't work it out at the time. We are now in a place to purchase one since our youngest only has 2 years left in high school. Plan is to work on the bus over the next 2 years and then be able to travel to the kids college lacrosse games.
Anyway, I see that you have commented very positive things about this bus in VA. Is there anything that you can tell me about this bus that you haven't already mentioned in the Posting thread? Any gotchas or anything specific to look out for?
As an aside, I happen to have a Crown right now for sale that will be needing it's engine rebuilt, but it's all included in the price I'm asking of $15K.
Hi, can you contact me regarding this? Thanks,
Jeff
Mike, You seem like an expert at Crown buses. I have some about a Crown I am looking at. I'm in Riverside, CA. You open to me contacting you? I saw your email on one post you sent. Thanks, Todd
Hello. I just bought a 1968 Crown Super Coach. 220 HP Cummins, 5 speed. My research confirms my suspicion that a Crown is a jewel.
My first rodeo. I have a lot of work ahead of me. Figuring it will be a labor of love.
My first concern is a lack of a bus manual of any sort. Do you have access to owners manuals, shop manuals, specifications, etc?
Thanks. Eric
