RV toilet floor flange

I need to get my grey/black tanks installed and setting the drains will need to be done first. I know that RV toilets are built differently then residential toilets and I plan to use an RV toilet, are the RV toilet floor flanges the same as a residential floor flange, pick one up at Lowe’s and good to go? 3” pipe (drop)? What's the number/measurement off of the back wall (to center of flange) for setting the floor flange? Thanks.

That looks like a 3" flange from Lowe's or Home Depot.

House style flange will work fine, that is what I used. I got one that swivels so I could be a little less precise. However, the RV toilet mounting holes are the same as the china bowl in your house, one on each side!

Re: RV toilet floor flange

There is no wax ring, but there is a soft seal that I HIGHLY recommend you use. My TT didn' t have one, and every time I flushed the toitey I'd get some leakage at the base of the unit. When I asked at the RV place about that, they told me about the soft seal and indicated that it should have been installed when the built the trailer.

If you go to the Thetford website and look at the drawings, you can see the soft seal included with the flange bolt kit, it is ITEM #5 ON THIS PAGE

The piece looks like THIS THING

Yeah, I looked them over. I copied and pasted the links in my browser and they came up fine.
