leaking ceiling vents

Hello, been awhile since my last post. I have stripped the bus and taken out the ceiling. I used Buskote paint for my roof, for multiple reasons, but also to seal any leaks. Unfortunately, it is still dripping, not a lot, but a little bit from where the vents in my ceiling come down. I'm very anxious to move on to the next step, which is installing the new ceiling insulation. I do not want to take any short cuts. I'm not sure if its a leak, or just condensation, but if any of you have had a similar problem, I'd love to hear how you resolved the problem. Thanks, I'll post pictures for better clarifaction if needed.

Re: leaking ceiling vents

if your are heating or cooling the inside, then its probably condensation. if the bus air temp is about the same as the outside air, then you got a leak.

Re: leaking ceiling vents

The bus is not being heated or cooled, it is an empty shell, and therefore is roughly the same temperature. I'm going to have to take the vents off from the top anyway to remove an old small bee comb, so then I'll be able to hopefully patch/calc any cracks that I see.

Re: leaking ceiling vents

Were any of the bolts ever over tightened and cracked the hatch? That happened to me, it was a very small crack. Also, are they both leaking? If not, try to switch them and see if it still leaks the same, or if you only have 1 try turning it around. Get another angle on where its coming from.

Re: leaking ceiling vents

Also I have found that my vents are quick to condensate and they drop water from hanging low parts on the vent.
