Differences between All American RE and TC2000RE
Hello Skoolies,
I've had my heart set on a full length All American RE with the cummins 8.3 for some time, however I see some similarly configured(cummins 8.3, rear engine) TC2000s popping up on auction site.
I know that the AARE front axle is rated for more weight, and the chassis is supposed to be heavier duty. Can anyone shed some light on the actual physical differences?
I plan on a heavier than average conversion, with big tanks for boondocking, large battery banks, solar panels, welding equipment, generator, et cetera. I'd also like the option to pull construction equipment - up to 30,000 lb. So my question is, would the TC2000RE be up to this? Is there anything about either bus that would be better for the conversion?
I hypothesize that the TC2000 may have a higher deck-- meaning more room for underfloor storage, which I like. Has anyone seen them side by side?
Thanks!
JDecker
