I searched abit but they all seem to made stock premade double deckers .
Is there a thread on the idea of someone making their own double decker on existing schoolbus.?
Thanks

Re: DIY double decker

Not so far due to the unreal amount of work involved.

There is one on here where the previous owner added a half level on top, but did not use metal like they should have.

I can explain in great detail how to build one a few different ways. It would be a bit of work.

I may build a stacker trailer latter in life using a few bus body's.

Is there a general DOT limit on vehicle height? Or a generally accepted height?

14 feet 3 inches

Chassis is 3 feet to the top of the frame rail. This leaves 11 feet to work with.
