Ill be watching this as I will be needing the same thing down the road. I think you have to get creative with space as we don't have a lot of it

What i wanted to do-but couldn't fine cheap enough fast enough-- airplane overhead storage. Look at the crap people jam in them-and since a plane is round, I bet the back corner is rounded.
Wouldn't that be slick?

Check some of the boneyards in here. Except for AMARC or the ones closed down, they may be able to parts out bins for you.

Re: overhead bulkhead compartment ideas wanted

I guess you need to decide what you want to store

A grill takes up more space than bag of wine outside the box, and 10 boxes of crackers takes up more space than a bottle of bourbon....so, do we what to store temporary? Or something that's is a staple, and thus needs "a home"?

There are more in my build thread but this picture highlights what was in my bus when I brought it home. They worked well with a ton of storage space.

Here's another one ...

I just used the OEM luggage racks in the back bedroom. Perfect solution for me....no fuss or mess.

Re: overhead bulkhead compartment ideas wanted

I have removed the door and cut the opening about 2 " larger then ran some lights into the compartment. My plan was to put a wine, beer glass rackin it but I think I'm going to build that closer to the liquor cabinet I just finished

I'm talking about the area over the drivers seat/ windshield area. I'm trying to get the most storage or usable space I can. I'm extending the rear bumper next about 3 feet for storage of other tailgating supplies

Re: overhead bulkhead compartment ideas wanted

Plenty of room up there, I plan to redo mine so ar will work better, and put some storage in.
Only problem I had was this:
Getting up from seat and damn near knocking myself out

I solved that by installing a handle to grab, and remind me

I ran lighting under and over under a recessed plexiglass panel to light the wine glass rack/ shot glass rack, looks great at night
