Fast drying but strong adhesive?

I'm wanting to use a sort of flexible 1/8" thick cork sheeting as a "headliner" on the ceiling of my bus:

My biggest hesitation is the potential hassle of the installation process and fear that it may eventually start coming off. I'd like to use an adhesive that will allow me to just hold it for a minute or two and then it will be adhered. And of course the adhesive needs to permanently secure the cork to my painted metal ceiling.

Anyone have suggestions?

Use plenty of ventilation (don't just open a window, use fans!!!) Contains toluene... bad stuff that long term exposure causes nerve and brain damage. When you build laminate covered cabinets for a living, you are around the stuff alot. I often wonder if that is part of the cause of David's deafness.

Hi, I had the same issue trying to hold up my foam insulation, I could not get the spray glue to act fast enough so I used the contact cement, it worked a lot quicker than the spray but with the cork being heavier I don't know. I also put plywood over the foam and screwed it down in several places, but I still have visions of the whole thing coming down on my head some night..... good luck, Leslie
