Re: plastic tank question

I wouldn't risk one of the poly tanks (the translucent white ones). Ever leave one out in the hot summer sun?

Re: plastic tank question

Remember-you dont have to go crazy keeping you tank heated-it only has to be warm enuff to flow to your filter-THERE you can crank the heat to it.

A plastic 55 gal would be definitely durable enough!

Re: plastic tank question

I've started on my WVO conversion this. My plan is to mount everything underneath-and have both solinoids-veg filter + remote fuel filter mounted on a slide out-so i dont have to try to jam anything under the hood-or lie on my back to change a filter.

A 52 gallon boat tank

The straps are galvanized 14 gauge strips 2" wide-its thin enough to bend in a vice with some hammering. The rubber is from HD-"shower floor underlay" sold off the roll.

Support is from 6 pieces of 3/8ths threaded rod. I went to a bolt specialty place and got a good grade 5 section. Holes drilled into the floor frame crossbracing.

More pics to comes as progress..progresses.

Its been road tested. I had a small leak from the plate going into the fuel tank (I had too much pitch forward-wvo was always on the plate)-gonna reseal it tonite. Other than that all is well.
