Re: DSE fuel

If you simply read or search this forum for the info, you will find it. I think a few are doing it. but the availability of the oil is the problem. We have a food cart (that's how we live) and if we used a fryer, we would be doing a waste oil tank on the bus. As it is, we don't and getting the oil new or used is a PITA. Especially when you are traveling.

A similar question was asked just a couple days ago. That person didn't get many answers either. Like I said, you newer folks need to learn to search and read not just ask. Most of the "newbie" questions have already been asked and answered.... multiple times. Get's tiring answering the same questions over and over.

The bus may run fine in warm weather depending on the type of engine (which makes a big difference - you should research this before buying a bus), but in the long run it may screw up the engine. So don't be deceived by short-term success. It takes a while for veg oil to screw up your engine, but it will if you are using it improperly. I am highly suspicious of magic fluids you mix with the oil and just run it like that. Most WVO/SVO experts will tell you to spend the time and money on a setup that heats the oil to at least 160F before it hits the injectors. Trying to thin SVO with chemicals rather than heat may introduce fluids into the engine that may cause harm in the long term. Before doing such a thing I would want to hear VERIFIED long-term success stories.

Re: DSE fuel

If DSE you mean Diesel Secret or something like that then don't get scammed. There's a reason why people that devote their lives to biofuel development will laugh at things like this.
