Great article, I wish more people thought like those two. I got a kick out of

Yet even at $5 some RVers complain.
Some people just can't be pleased with a good thing. I enjoy all of the conveniences as much as the next guy, but every now and then it's nice to not have any of them. I can actually survive without electricity, TV, computer, telephone, dishwasher, music plugged into my ear.
A good deal is rare, and I think this is one of them.

Re: RV park doing just fine charging $5 a night

What gets me is the campgrounds who freak out over the folks who wallydock in various parking lots. They say the store are "robbing" them of income. These folks who wally dock would be more than willing (in most cases) to pay $5 (I wouldn't pay more) to park overnight in a bare bones site & dump tanks in the AM. Yet these same campgrounds say they would lose $$. I guess these guys just are doing it right. Bet they will allow a skoolie conversion in!

We don't stay in campgrounds on a single night basis. If we win the lottery that would change. But I'm still cheap enough to want to pay a very small amount of $$ for an interstate/highway side campground with water/electric/sewer or dump station. $35 is far too much. We have paid $18 (one night) for exactly those amenities plus wifi. I thought that was high enough.
