trip finished.

Sorry i ave not been on this site for the past three months. Just finished trip to washington, idaho, utah wyoming, denver to see daughter, st paul to see son, and all states down to alabama where we have a farm which is way overgrown with small trees.
we are clearing out 2 acres around the very old stage coach house and part of the 13 ac field and are planning campsites in the 80 or so foot tall pine grove.

the 40 foot thomas ran excellent the whole way, and i used my 1 inch truck impact wrench to change one tire. we averaged almost 9mpg with her pulling a 14 foot box trailer filled with machine shop tools, as well as the rear room over the motor filled with the same stuff.

i will get photos posted sometime of the bus and the park like setting of the property.

We are now east of huntsville alabama, and will be glad to talk to or help people in this area, esp when the shop gets electricity. One night boondocking may be possible here, depending on the ground conditions of the clay when it is wet.

Re: trip finished.

I am going to be heading thru both Alabama and Tennessee sometime next week. I looked at the map near Huntsville and don't see a hwy 30 anywhere. I will be traveling up Interstate 65 so it may be a little out of my way to stop.

Re: trip finished.

It's on my map - try "Larkinsville Road" or "Old Larkinsville Road."
