Skoolie to Canada

We would like to buy a skoolie in the states and take Him to Canada for a few months and then return to the states.
We are european and have a normal driving license, from what I heard this should be enough in the States if registered as an RV.. Is this the same in Canada or do you need a special license if you just us it to travel?
Can you take any kind of skoolie into Canada for a visit?

Thanks heaps for helping out!

(I realize this was over a year ago now...)

What'd you find out? I'm planning on driving through Canada in the coming months.

If it's an RV, wouldn't they just treat you like any other RV?

We plan to take ours up the east coast someday (when its warmer), into New Brunswick and the over the bridge to Prince Edward Island where we have property. It is currently titled as a private bus in Florida. I see no reason for concern.

I am told that some Canadian provinces will not let you drive an RV with air brakes without an endorsement on your state's drivers license. You don't need a commercial license, but you do need an air brakes endorsement.
