looks like you had many good adventures in your old bus. hope the new one serves you as good and long as the old one. I guess a little harder to get the 40' into remote places.
If you're not too picky I might have a few things you could use for your conversion. Things we salvaged from old campers and RV's but then didnt use for ours.

Any updates on your new bus? Brings back memories as the bus I recently pyurchased was a former party bus from a college kid. Good times!!

looks like mine, except mine had compartments underneith as is was made for road trips. with the pusher, you can utilize space from the windshield clear back to the back window.. and build a flat surface over your instrument panel and above the defroster.

Ah the things I could have done with a skoolie "back in the day"! In college I had a 1967 VW Bus with the camper setup, split windshield, and pop-up top, so you can bet I had a lot of fun, but a skoolie would have multiplied that fun exponentially!

I want your old bus!!!! Love it! I totally want an old bus with the style they just dont have now days. A guy up the road has a 1952 Chevy skoolie and it has the same rear deck as yours. JUst dont make them that way anymore..Post pics of the progress on your new one!
