Advice on "First" Oil Change at the Cat Dealer Please :)
Hey, I just got back from driving my new baby home, 1400 miles from Albany, NY down to South Florida (no offense).
The bus runs great and I wanted to do the first oil change but I've decided to go with the local Cat dealer for the first one. And I'm pretty sure they have a better idea of where the oil plug is than I do.
I'll ask them to test and analyze the oil, and also ask if they can reprogram the computer in case the beast is governed. I get 59.5 mph on a straightaway and I swear I passed 65 coming down out of the mountains.
Can anyone think of anything specific I should also have them check? Or I could even take a look at before taking her in on Friday?
Thanks!
Oh, it's a Cat 3126b engine with only about 89000 miles on it inside a Thomas body, and came with a file full of Service and D.O.T. records, and it seems to be in good mechanical condition. I've got some rust ahead of me but hey.
