loud noise when steering wheel cranked

Clementine doesn't like taking corners too tight - when we have to keep the wheel cranked when parking/maneuvering, she screams at us. We're going to try and replicate the sound for our mechanic the next time he stops by but if anyone has any suggestions on what we should be looking for I'd appreciate it. I'm thinking something to do with the power steering belt... Thoughts?

One direction only, or both? Could be a lack of fluid in the reservoir.

Maybe a loose belt. Hopefully nthing more serious than that.

Re: loud noise when steering wheel cranked

Was it low when you got your bus? If so check for leaks that has allowed air into the system. Air as well as lose belts, bad pressure relief valves and pumps can cause lots of racket when turning the wheel to lock.
