Re: MORSE - Transmission?

I'm more or less guessing, but I would say it used to go where the vacuum modulator is now. I have heard of mechanical ones, but they were for really high performance engines that didn't make
any vacuum. That box sure looks like the same connection that a modulator uses. What is inside of it? At any rate if neither end is hooked to anything I would put it on that pile of stuff that "might be of use some day in the near of far distant future"

Re: MORSE - Transmission?

Unfortunately, the lack of a throttle in his diesel bus is going to keep it form making any vacuum either so it couldn't be a vacuum modulator. I *believe* the AT545 only uses TV pressure and the governor to set shift points regardless of the engine in front of it. It could be some sort of a nanny device. Morse is a common manufacturer of hour meters. I suppose there could be some sort of device that needs to be supplied fluid pressure from a circuit in the transmission to determine that it is in motion rather than idling. Again, that's a HUUUUUGGGGEEEE stretch, but I don't know what else to think.

Instead, discretely duct tape it to the roof of a Police car, that way they will always see it moving and you will be able to travel in secret agent stealth mode.

I am not the Skoolie you are looking for.
