Re: HHO Hydrogen Generators

Just remember: one electrode produces hydrogen, the other oxygen. It's best to keep those to gasses seperate until combustion.

PIPE OUT

In the tub you surround the electrodes and pipe to your engine. One pipe gives hydrogen , the other oxygen. Now I don't want to show my ignorance, but I'm guessing the positive electrode yeilds hydrogen.

Re: HHO Hydrogen Generators

If the gasses are mixed, and it would be at perfect ratio, they would tend to combine as this chemical reation has a low energy thereshold to overcome. Any little thing could cause the gasses to ignite, and with out flame sreens, explode the generator.

By salt I meant some ions to make the electrical circuit through the water.

Re: HHO Hydrogen Generators

This guy at work built a hho generator and installed it on his o7 or o8 jeep wrangler. it has only been on there a day or two but he swears the computor on his dash went from 14 or 15 to 20-22 mpg. He built this style generator http://www.searcypress.com and installed 2 of them with a collector jar. I am going to wait for him to verify his milage then build me one. I drive a 1968 vw beetle, I'll probably have to pull over every once in a while and siphon some gas out of it so that it wont run out of the tank. I hope

Re: HHO Hydrogen Generators

Maybe some fine tuning is needed. I don't buy the 30-50% increases, but I think 10% is reasonable. There are commercial units for trucks available and they cost mucho$$. One guarantees at least a 10% increase. You can see videos on youtube of how flamable hydrogen is. It would have to help with a better combustion. That would mean less work for the motor for same output, I think. I wouldn't give up just yet.

Almost forgot the links.

Re: HHO Hydrogen Generators

$14,000 each!!! what could possibly cost that much in one of those kits?

That's just like these Hybrid cars selling for 1,000's over blue book because they "save you money" in fuel... What good is a car that saves you money on fuel when you over pay so much for it?

Re: HHO Hydrogen Generators

I am not suggesting that you buy one of there units. I was just pointing out that there are commercial units that come with a guarantee to increase your mileage. I'm sure you can make a nice setup for $50 without scrounging for materials.
