New Skoolie, saying hello

Y'all, I love this forum. Stumbled across it a few days ago, and I've been reading just about every thread ever since. There's such a huge amount of info and experience, and the pictures are inspiring.

We are a couple of Texans, located down near Corpus. I've ridden on a few hippie busses and fell in love, though neither of us have ever owned one ourselves. We have cash in hand and are still in the process of looking for our bus. While we scour the net for our (new to us) skoolie, we spend the rest of the time talking out possible ideas for the conversion and drooling over the conversion threads. I've already downloaded SketchUp and made a really botched floor plan attempt before handing it over to the SO, who is so much better with software than I am. We've got lots of drawings to start with. We're pretty much at the point where the plan is serious, we've done loads of research and plotting, know where we'll park it for the rehab and now we're itching to get dirty and tear up a floor... just need a bus!

Nice to meet everyone. Thanks for all the experience already offered, I've picked up great tips.
