Found my skookie on Google Maps ! !
It's in my back yard so no big surprise but it's still kind of neat.
Anyone else have a pic of their rig from space ??

Re: Found my skookie on Google Maps ! !
Not only did I find our bus
https://www.google.com/maps/place/33...1202468d463f2d
The overhead view was taken during the winter and no bus in sight - not in our current spot and not in our first spot in the park. A big RV is in our spot but it's not us. We aren't even in our old spot. Street view date says May 2013. We are the long skinny one parked under the big tree backed up to Brasher. The Street view even shows the food cart! Pic was taken before we put the A/C in the rear section of the bus. So the over head and street views are taken at different times.
But I found Das Mel and she was at home! Claudia was parked under the tree in the shade! Different time of year than in Roswell. Street view is April 2014 and she was home. Is that not creepy?

Actually, it's only creepy if you happen to know that the yellow blob between a bough of the tree and the shade is, in fact, ME sitting on the table. I think I was on the phone with either you, Dad, or Mimi at the time, as that's the only time I sit at the picnic table.

Okay, that is creepy. And I could also see the scooter too. It's amazing how much that camera sees.

Re: Found my skookie on Google Maps ! !
Here's mine, this picture was taken last summer. Bus is long white thing.
I know it was taken last summer because of strange mowed part in the back field.
Street view was taken in 08 so no bus, in the summer you can't see back to the house from the road anyway.

How are you seeing the scooter? It's not there. Could we possibly be seeing two differing photos? Weird.

Now, I'm not saying it's aliens but...
It's Aliens. Were you pulling a 'Tace and chasing a bumblebee or something?

Something is sitting behind the Class C. If it's not the scooter what is it? I know it's not your hitch-haul, that's on Claudia (I can see the yellow).

There's nothing behind the Class C, Mum. Can't even see the ladder so it must've been taken while Anna had it. Morning picture, too, looks to be about 10am or so, from the way the shadows are cast. Must be a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday morning.
Can't see the hitch-haul's yellow at all (I'd only painted the sides). CAN see the tin-can that student was living in until he moved off to another campground. So this was taken early-mid spring.

Re: Found my skookie on Google Maps ! !
Hey, Das Mel,
Would you share the photos with us so we can play "Where's Waldo" with you and your mum?
Seriously though, some curious folks out there, like me, enjoy looking at people's buses, whether they are side view or tin-hat gubermnent surveillance spy sat photos...
You and your mom are a hoot!
Thanks.

Re: Found my skookie on Google Maps ! !
Would if I could, Ab, but I don't have a photobucket account to link to and I ain't about to link my current location on my DeviantART account (it's under the same illusion as my facebook account that I'm in Trinidad and Tobago, in the nicer part of Port-of-Spain). :P
I'm just trying to figure out if Mum has a different photo than I do. I can't find a date other than 2014 on the map system and it's late enough in the year I can't pinpoint just WHEN the photo was taken. Scaly-Neighbour (he has skin cancer of some sort and is still trying, after 4 years, to sue the city for some stupid reason that was so stupid I blocked it from my memory the day he rolled into town) hasn't moved his trailer at this point and Jim (a veteran that lost both legs and his left arm in combat) isn't working on his truck so it's not a recent picture.

Re: Found my skookie on Google Maps ! !
'Sokay. Mums can always find ways to confuse us no matter how old or young we are. It is pretty bad when your mum can go on google and ask you about stuff in your backyard. I know, because my mom did it to me last year, busting my chops about my pos Chrysler Imperial being in my yard. 1' off of a narrow driveway, and she complains over something she saw on the inter(spyonyou-skynet)net. Argh!!!
And here I thought one of the joys of having a house on wheels is so that your family can't find you.
And how exactly did you get your bus to Trinidad and Tobago?
Keep on keeping on!

Oh. Ya know. Pontoons. Ongoing joke here on the forums that I'm so sick of America that I'm gluing pontoons to my bus and sailing off. I enjoy it, at least.

It's part of the job.

I think it's kinda scary. Think about the nutcase stalkers! Of course the nutcase stalker she had lived in the same tiny town. Did you all know that campgrounds can legally keep people out? Apparently, legally, non-campers are not allowed past a certain point in many campgrounds.

The object is to keep moving and don't let them know where you are in the first place.

It's a state mind
