We are looking to change out for 'new' used tires for our 93 international. Anyone ever heard about a way to get the bus up without a huge jack? Like driving it up a ramp and then using stands to prop it up and then remove the ramps? I know someone some where probably has done something crazy like this right?

all you need is a $30 12 ton bottle jack to change a tire...hard thing is getting lug nuts loose

I have asked myself that very same question a million times!! No one in the history of the world was as good at drinking and smiting as the Norse pantheon. Gods!! I'm feeling thirsty all over again and there is ALWAYS someone I know has just been begging for a good smiting!!

It will only work on the back dual tires. Its a easy thing to do. All you need to do is get some 2x4s and cut them from long to short then screw them together kind of like a pyramid. Put it in front of the tire and drive up on it. Obviously it wont work for the inner if you drive up on the outer just do to obvious reasons. yes it will NOT work for the fronts cause... well it only has one wheel.

As Bansil said... get you a 20 ton jack. It will pay for itself in time. Just be safe. Block off tires so it cant roll. Your dealing with a lot of weight.

I went with a 20 ton(12ton is minumum)

Biggest problem I have is I need to buy a torque multiplier(~$200) there are just too many big azz tite bolts on these things

I bent a pc of 2-1/4 dia schedule 40 pipe when it was "assisting" my 1" drive ratchet...I got 3 of 10 loose and gave up...
