Credit Score 1000 Bus
Figured I'd start my build thread. It's going to take forever, it's me, wife and 3 kids age 4-7-10. I'm hoping someday our bus is nice enough to full time, we are minimalists who starve for adventure so I think it will work. Plus I'm not too psyched on the mortgage payment. We aren't planning anything spectacular accept a possible loft bed for the master bed.

Re: Credit Score 1000 Bus
We are just getting started with our conversion also... and I get you... it will take forever with us also! For us it is me, the hubby and 4 kids (11, almost 9, almost 7 and 3.5) We are also pretty minimalistic, though there will be a lot to get rid of still and we are looking forward to being on the road full time.
We are planning a loft bed in back also... but I am still back and forth of how we are going to make the kids fit...
I look forward to seeing the progress...

Haha... I can relate!! The red specks covering your arm (in the event of a real good spark shower) disappear quickly

Re: Credit Score 1000 Bus
Thanks for showing how you got the seat feet up. I will be tackling that next.
It will be just my dog and I. Since everone else is getting a loft bed, now he wants one too.
When done this bus will be our full time home. I hope to move in by next spring and finish up as I go. I'm going a little more extreeme, roof raise and spray in insulation, no LP and composting toilet. All I will have is fresh water tank inside and grey water under. With no LP, no vents to cut in the bus.
Look forward to seeing you progress

Re: Credit Score 1000 Bus
You will need to vent the grey tank at the roof line. You are no different from the rest of us in that your grey water will smell.
You might want to checkout how some of the bunkhouse toyhaulers set their beds up. You may get some ideas. If you can locate websites for the folks who build bunkhouses for the circus and carnival folks, that would be helpful. They custom build some amazing units. I used to have some links but lost them.

I really don't want to cut a hole in my bus roof for a grey tank vent. I'm thinking of running my vent up the outside wall of the bus, maybe in the back. It might look a little funky, but if I keep adding other funky things then it all works.

Re: Credit Score 1000 Bus
The weather was nice here too. I should have taken off and went camping in the bus. I will have to remember next time we have cool weather. I ran my Webasto heater and it worked good, I had heat in five minutes.

The heating lines that run the length of the floor are pretty annoying right now actually, I took all the panels off so I could get to the rest of the floor, I like the idea of running the lines under the bus, but its more work, I don't want to just cover them inside the bus either though. Basically I'm annoyed. The heater is nice though.

Re: Credit Score 1000 Bus
If you run the lines under the bus it will be way too much work, plus you will lose heat. Mine just sit on the floor, uncovered. Extra heat and you will see right off if you ever get a leak.

Re: Credit Score 1000 Bus
I see you kept the chair rail. I used the area under the chair rail as a channel to run the heater lines, pex lines, and wiring. Works really nice and the majority of it ended up easily accessible.
