So this all started when my 10 year old wanted to build an RV... This site has been a great resource and I thought I would "pay it forward" by documenting our newest family project.

I am from the area and found out the hard way, you can't park your bus on the street. $100.00 later, she is parked in the driveway...

I'm planning on removing the celling and wall liners to replace the insulation. Going for this look...

Re: 2000 Thomas Saf-t Liner

Can anyone tell me the best way to remove the sidewall panels? Do they slide off if you remove the windows? I appreciate you insight.

Moving on to the celling and found, taking it down, is really a 2 man project. I'm lucky I haven't broken/sliced anything off...

To remove the windows, undo the screw bracket things on the inside, and take a utility knife and score all the glue, inside and out, around the edges. It is super gooey and even after you score it, it will be hard to pull out, but you pull the windows in towards you, from the top, and it will make sense and work.

So did turning the bus on it's side help get rid of all the plaque from cleaning it out? Blink, blink...

Shaken, not stirred. That's what my dad said happened to me.

Thanks for the update on how to remove the windows! The putty knife worked like a champ. I'm including some pictures for the next person who wants to take this task on...

The window slides out with a little pressure. Sometimes, I had to cut the sealant on the outside as well...
