I've lurked and read along for quite a while, but we're finally starting our conversion so it's time to start posting some stuff of my own. Hi there!

We are a family of 5 converting a 1997 International, 72 passenger, traditional nose, into a home to live in full-time.

It shows its age in spots with some rust and peeling here and there, but our mechanic looked it all over and said everything was nice and solid. It was in Vermont when we found it (we're in NY)

We got the stop sign off, put the first bit of color on the side, and bought a grinder and took out the first of the seats this weekend. Nice to have some progress!


Some of the paint came out strange on parts of it - I don't know if it's because we were still painting when it was getting dark (moisture maybe?) or the rollers we were using, or what, but it almost looks like there is fuzz that dried into it. We'll have to do some sanding and redo some of it. A good start though, and we're learning as we go!
