senior bird
Resently joined this forum, have aquired a 1993 TC2000 FE blue bird 5.9 cumm. 72 passenger bus has 147K near 0 visable rust, very small amount of scrapes & dings near new mich. str. tires, rears need replacing has newer batteries was used by a rafting outfitter on the tennessee ocoee river. I plan to use a doner travel trl. which has some water damage to rt. frnt. Having trouble getting started, wondering if to late in life to start such a project. Hope I will be able to upload pics. as I am electronicly challenged. Know more about crankshafts than harddrives, but do have carpentry, mechanical, & welding exp.

Welcome! --- It's not the years in your life, it's the life in your years. Dive in. And if you are remotely sensible (unlike myself) and don't take on a complete ground up rebuild on some really obscure antique, you'll be on the road in no time.

Re: senior bird
I don't know how old you are but I am 53 Female with little experience.. I'm doing it! I chose to get a bus to hopefully live in so I can save money for retirement, the bus I bought turned out to be full of rust.. so I'm learning to weld and do body work.. it keeps you moving and as a result keeps you young!
Just do it if it moves you..don't be afraid because of your age!!

Interesting. Our bus was formerly owned by Wildwater Rafting out of Long Creek, SC. They rafted Chattooga, Nantahala & Ocoee Rivers, all of which are what we consider to be "local" for us (former residents of West Union/Seneca/Westminster SC, Franklin/Otto NC, Hixson/Tiftonia/Whitwell with a mailing address out of Cleveland TN).

The picture is too big on photobucket. If you have some kind of photo editor on you computer it's best to resize before you upload to PB. If you have an editor and don't know how to do that, let me know what the program is, I can probably help, they all do it differently. There are a couple of free ones that work well.
You can resize directly on photobucket. When you are logged in and viewing your picture, with the mouse somewhere on the picture, there will be four gray boxes at the top right of the picture area. Click on the middle one, (looks like a square with a paint brush on it). ON the screen that opens pick "resize". On the next screen type 600 in the left box, the right box will automatically change to keep the correct aspect ratio. Click apply then save.
You can then get the link to past into your post. The easiest way is to use the one labeled "IMG" when you click on it, it will save what you need to your clipboard. When you are typing your post, simply hit "ctrl+v" where you want the picture to appear.

how to type a statement with the pic

Simply type what you want to say before or after the part you just pasted.

It will look something like this.

And show up like this
This picture has been resized to 499x472
Be sure to use the preview button before you post, you can see if the picture shows correctly and edit any spelling and grammar mistakes , and make sure you didn't use any stupid acronyms.
