CHANGED AGAIN! THIS WILL BE IT!!

Ok, well lets see first it was the 1993 International Blue Bird dognose. I sold that. Then I was planning on getting the 1998 Thomas dognose with the 466E raised roof. But I had not actually picked up the 98 yet.

So then I thought to myself... hmmm.. The dealer has a 1993 Thomas SAFE-T-LINER on the lot that I could pick up for $700 more than the Thomas dognose.

Guess what! I went with that!!

WOW! This is not even close to your average school bus!! This is like riding in a regular coach bus!! This baby has 30k on a rebuilt Cat 3116!! Goes down the highway like a dream!

Here are the specs:

1993 Thomas Safe-t-liner ER
Cat 3116 250hp
Allison Auto MT643
83 passenger!!
Air Brakes, Air door, air seat!
Raised roof.
Roof soundproofing the whole length of the bus.
Exterior music and PA that works!

All I can say is this is the ultimate skoolie!!

Great looking bus! I completely agree with the spend a little more to get a better bus philosophy. After all the work you're going to be putting into it, might as well.

Raised roof and air brakes / door / seat. I'm guessing that also includes air suspension? Definitely a "Luxury Liner"

Re: CHANGED AGAIN! THIS WILL BE IT!!

HA! HA! GOOD ONE SMITTY!!

Nope. Seats not out yet. Sure is going to be a lot of them to take out. uugh.

John, it actually did NOT come with air suspension. Thats fine with me. I don't feel like dealing with leaky air bags and adjusting levelers etc.... It does ride like it has air suspension though. LOL

Re: CHANGED AGAIN! THIS WILL BE IT!!

Thanks for the tip. I live in New England so its hard to find a bus around here that does not have some type of rust or rot. This bus actually came from Maine and they have tough winters up there. lol

Re: CHANGED AGAIN! THIS WILL BE IT!!

I saw the "Falmouth," and was wondering MA or ME, though there are probably others.
Nice bus. I guess the rust is the offset for scoring all the cool features, high roof and all.

Re: CHANGED AGAIN! THIS WILL BE IT!!

Thats a good idea Smitty. I actually should have waited to put the patches on until just before putting down the new plywood. That way I can get the maximum prep work done.

Re: CHANGED AGAIN! THIS WILL BE IT!!

Here is the floor all painted with some duct tape covering the seat bolt holes. I will be covering the tape with some roof tar.

Also, Smitty I took your advice and took up the patches and sealed underneath then riveted them back on and sealed on top of the patches.

Nice work on the patches!

That empty bus is just begging for it... And it looks so nice and big inside.
