Yup Tango, '49 is right. I've seen mismatched pumps rip the wheel right out of the drivers hand. You'd need to have an idea what the PSI requirements are for the gear and then measure the Psi output of your pump to get a good match. Lots of devils in the details eh.

Thanks guys --- good to know about the PSI. I had no clue. Will ask the Cummins tech what the output of that pump is as well as what box matches it best. Thanks again.

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

one of my friends does a similar thing in one of his tanks in the chrome shop.. i didnt know any old 10a battery charger would work. as long as the parts are suspended on the neg hanger going across the tank, the tank can be made of metal which creates the pos.
there are also large rectangular chemical shipping tanks that are abt 300 gal that would work great as well.

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Hi '49, a 300 gal tank would be nice --you wouldn't have to dip one end at a time for larger pieces. You'd want to be careful about using a steel container as the anode (pos side) because in this process the anode is sacrifical and sooner than later the tank would eat away and leak.

It is either one of the last 35's or 1st 36's

If you notice the top of the doors are square not round(like 35's)..the issue is that in 36 they changed the doors and they had steel inner and outer panels....problem is the inners on our doors are like 35's made with wood and tension turn buckles...it's fun at car shows when people argue amongst them selves,we just walk away and smile...one day the car will be finished..matbe

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

i will have to look at my 36 pics. i know mine had wood door frame, etc as i replaced the wood around 1992. cant remember if door itself was wood core or not, but the glass would roll up n down when i bought it..
car had the normal ring gear out when i bought it.

look at the eary a ford. i had a 28 roadster that had the emergency brake lever to the left of the driver.

What fun! Cramming all that new fangled plumbing under these narrow old front ends gets interesting doesn't it. I'm guessing that my intercooler may have to get routed through the inner fender panels since I hesitate cutting a couple of big holes through the radiator. Keep the pics coming.

Hey Bansil and Tango, I've taken a couple of stabs at mocking up the front end and NOTHING fits except the cowl. Its sort of like trying to put a dashound nose on a pit bull!

Hum, thanks for the reminder-- I'd forgotten about multi colored/patterned duct tape. I've been using bailing wire and rope. Bet the tape works better, I'll give it a try!

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

I found a great place to hang the PS resivoir--on the air filter bracket! Just like Isuzu did-- how clever. Ha This will work out fine unless the resivoir over flows as it will dump on the exhaust manifold. Fortunately, diesel exhaust parts don't get as hot as their gas brethren I am told so it might not catch fire if it did leak.
