Allison Transynd is what I think you're referring to. I believe its made by Castol Fleetguard makes a variant of it too that's supposedly Allison approved.

from what ive seen any of the TES-295 rated fluids seem to be pretty equal.. I use transynd brand in my allison 1000, my MT643 and AT540 still have regular fluid in them..

ive used quite a few Amsoil products over the years and have had no issues with them so I wouldnt hesitate to use the amsoil TES-295 trans fluid in the allisons..

I've been working with the guy that does unlocks for a few years, and we've done around 30 of them together in that time. Highly recommended upgrade if it applies to you.

As far as his personal info, there's a difference between privately sharing an email address and posting a person's real name. Because of the highly sensitive nature of these modifications, I have switched to collecting payment for him rather than putting people directly in contact with him. The belt is getting tighter and nobody wants any trouble.

After a month or so of driving with 6th gear unlocked I am still pleased to have it unlocked. However have noticed a few things, around here it is rolling hills and a few steep grades up to 8%. I find it is always hunting between 5th and 6th unless it is flat land and over 65mph. So have been putting it in 5th and leaving it there for local driving. Not to thrilled with that.

So tried the "mode" button. Nice, so much better, stays in 6th unless the grade gets steep. And no more revving to the rev limiter then shifting. Even though the mode button is for economy it really seems to climb at least small grades better, feels like the engine is more in it's power band rather then defueling close to the rev limiter. So for those who do unlock try the mode button, for me that makes a real difference.

I always put mine in economy mode. It seems to shift up a little earlier but holds higher gears longer unless I'm actually pushing the pedal down. I wish it could set as the default instead of having to push the button every time.

you dont want to hold too long... my allison liked to hold and labored the engine.. 6 to 5 goes up and down qwuite a bit on rolling hills.. I just run mine in a lower gear when im in rolling hills and then go back to auto when its more flat.. im also over-geared in the rear.. my bus could go 85 in 5th if i really wanted it to.. if your rear gear is tall it will hunt a lot.. you can hold it in 6th longer with ECON mode but watch your EGT you can run em up pretty easily..

While you're here...I have a 98 bluebird with a b300 trans. I know nothing about the version, wytec 2 or 3 ? I'd like to get 6th unlocked although it's no rush. What do you think?

!!! Do tell! -If it’s something you can share.
I have 6th gear by using the calibration from a similar truck; but my truck did seem to shift a little better with the original calibration.
But if there’s a way to have the best of both worlds…

Hey! looking to get my 3060's sixth gear enabled. I hear tell of some folks that can do it, I just don't know any of them. Any help would be great as it doesn't seem International will be giving me an OEM letter for Allison.
