Any use for the STOP sign?

I was wondering about the possible uses for the stop sign and associated parts. Mines just sitting here since I pulled it off.
If I can't think of any way to use it, it's likely free to a good home! ;)

Mine's hanging on the wall of my office. One day I will get around to hooking a power supply to the lights in it. I miss my bus, but the sign is a fun wall hanger.

There's an idea... but I'm downsizing big time.
I figured as often as I see folks "reinventing the wheel", or trying to, I may as well ask what uses anyone has found or thought of.

I thought of something like that, too. But I'm trying to make it visually "less a schoolbus".

I asked this question too when I got mine off. I am saving the motor. It is pretty strong with the levers. Maybe for a power mode to tilt the bed for access to the area under it. I plan to find some good used hinges from the junkyard and create a bed frame that tilts.


The lower portion of the headboard will be accessible from the rear door.

Cool! I planned on using one for the same purpose; glad to see it working for someone else.

Given the animal theme of my conversion plan, and the original purpose of the sign, I thought of redoing the paint scheme with text as follows:

PLEASE
BRAKE
FOR ANIMALS!

However, the bus I might get (when its owner returns from a business trip) doesn't have a sign. Of course.

They took ours off before we could take the bus,(stupid rules) as well as the arm that was on the bumper, other wise I wanted to use the arm for my satellite dish, raise and lower on the roof, or maybe for solar panels, to tilt them when the bus is parked.

I know it's "illegal" to leave them on in their current place, but I wonder if they would say anything if I moved it to the back roof, right above the rear door. Then it could pop up when I stopped like a third break light, sort of....

I'm going to explore the idea of using the mechanism to make another step that will extend when the door is opened and retract when the door is closed. That way it won't be such a high first step. Mama has trouble getting on the first step because it is so high. I know I could use a little stool but I just like to build things. When I get around to it I will post pics.
