Most private campgrounds have limitations some even prohibit Skoolies. Each National Park is different and the size limitation is based on Spaces they have. I think I read somewhere that about 95% of national parks can accommodate a 40 ft camper. And some of the more limited ones only up to 30 ft. If you have a park in mind it wouldn't be a bad idea to call first because most of them are limited to how many spaces they can fit a large camper, even if they say they can accommodate up to a 40-footer

Private campground can go to hell. Wait, private campgrounds are hell. Can you go to hell when you are hell???
I plan on visiting ALL the National Parks (and more). Eventually I'd like to hit all the parks, seashores, trails, monuments, battlefields, etc.

After finishing the Nationals, I'd go on a one state park per state tour. There's also the Pan-American Hwy on the bucket list. I'll run out of bucket long before running out of list.

I like your Floorplan. I'm also going to cut out that center aisle thing and have a zigzag kind of plan. This leaves more privacy in the back.
How long is your bus? That's alot of windows.

Had to jump in on this one. In the early planning stages for a Thomas or Blue-Bird conversion. No idea when I can pick up a bus but wanted to work on SOMETHING, so I created a floor plan.
Let me know if you have any suggestions or advice.

The arched door in front, won't there need to be a gap about it so the door is short enough to slide into the partition Walls?

Also I've read about RE skoolies that have accidents and there isn't much protection for the driver so I decided that a Push Bar would at least give the driver a chance to make it out of an accident alive and hopefully in one piece. That would be me 99% of the time, but still it could be my wife or son and that's not an option.
Hope you like it and please comment on it.

I quite like the separate sleeping areas and how the kitchen is laid out! Nicely done. Any after pics?

I've found some success with an app called magicplan. Very usable free, probably can do a whole bus, paid features included various file type outputs and expanded library of furniture, windows and such. I'll post my layout for an example.

Spent about an hour on this layout. However I am familiar with the app already. It's called magicplan, not sure if it's available for Apple. I use Android. I did realize you have to purchase the plan (less than$5) to export.
I need to measure where the wheel wells are but even if it falls in the doorway to the bedroom it might work. That door is currently a pocket or sliding door.
Single beds would be (3) Murphy bunks of a sort that could be designed as couches for travel use as well. Bathroom all tile for walk in shower with curtains on clothes washer and compost toilet.
Storage under bed...
Just brought home the bus last week! '82 Ford b700 bluebird retired party bus.

What size bed are you using? Queens and kings are 80" long, not leaving a lot of room to walk by the foot of the bed.

Good question! Probably a queen. Bed orientation is flexible. I would have to into that issue eventually. Thanks for pointing that out.
I've thought of custom making a bed... We'll see

To custom make a bed you need a foam mattress and a knife. Done!!
Might have to run the rear bathroom idea past the gf.

Yes they do.
Pick a day when your wife is visiting her mother
ps ... that's also a good day to get the brake rotors in the dishwaher, and those small powder-coating jobs in the oven

That's a whole different subject. Spray foam is not = to memory foam.
