The difference is you're doing a real build rather than just putting up walls inside the bus. I also thought I'd be done within a year, at least, but I'm nearing the second year already.

When I first bought it that's all I was going to do...what did I know? Then I found this forum and found out what I NEED to do. Ok, so it set me back a little but there's no deadline to meet.

You're going to be glad you are doing it right. More space inside and most likely better insulation and sealing of any holes in the outer skin.

I was going to do the metal tent method, but that first winter was miserable cold. Then during the summer, after I removed all the interior, it was miserable hot. If you're living in it, it deserves good insulation. Actually you deserve good insulation.

Revisiting the beginning of the thread I'm red in the face. I see the pictures and video now which were blank boxes when I first read it. Yup that's a sawzall/recip. Sorry about that.
