DIY Convert Fluorescent Lights To LED Dual Use

http://www.thewanderman.com/2012/05/...-led-dual.html

I know some of you boondock (or intend to) with limited power need for longer times. It's not a project I want to do. I feel our fluorescents will be low power use enough to suit our needs since we would only be on battery for short periods of time not days on end. I came across this from the RV Travel newsletter #536. Hope someone can use it.

The guy has more on LEDs on the same site as the light conversion. You may want to peruse the site to see what info you can glean from it.

I wasnt sure if there's a link in that article, but I actually just watched this video last night explaining what's going on.
(I learn better from watching than reading!)

Re: DIY Convert Fluorescent Lights To LED Dual Use

The more i read about LEDs the more i am leaning toward doing my whole bus that way. It seems like a way easier and all around efficient way to go about lighting.

Re: DIY Convert Fluorescent Lights To LED Dual Use

We replaced all our incandescent bulbs with LED lights in ours. Cut power use from 65 watts with everything on down to 15 watts. The new "bulbs" fit right in our existing light fixtures, last just about forever (they say), run cool and only cost about 5 bucks each. A lot to like there.
