Renogy mppt troubleshooting

Yo Black John

Thanks for making yourself available! I was wondering if you have any experience with Renogy Rover 40v mppt. I have 400w of solar and charging a 24v system. I was able to change the settings to "24v" and "gel" batteries but cannot access the advanced settings to change them for a 24v system. I've tried doing it through the app as well on the unit itself. Any ideas? BTW, I have submitted a ticket to Renogy and am awaiting a reply

Smart battery isolator

Hello, I just purchased a Ford E350 6.8l v10 shuttle bus. This is my second conversion. I had a Ram promaster previously, and I used a 12v 140 amp battery isolator to charge my house batteries from the starting battery. Any chance I can do the same method with the new conversion without any problem? I can’t find a solid answer of the amount of amps my alternator has. It was really handy having this isolator in the promaster. Looking forward to some replies!

What year is the E350?

well, just go to the online parts stores and lookup the alternator, it tells you their rating.
did you try that?

I have, and it seems they range from 120-225 amps.

Great, so how can you tell the difference? How would someone else know?

I was hoping someone with the same or similar vehicle may have done this. Just trying to get all knowledge I can.

Howdy! I have a question. I removed the factory a/c and associated wires and hoses, but when I hooked the battery back up and started the bus, the amperage surged from 20 to 120 for a couple minutes until it aired up and the buzzer stopped. Any ideas?
Thank you!

But it could still have a different one.
Compare the pics to yours. Trying to teach a man how to fish, not giving you a personally prepared fish dinner.

Do I !!!!?
Building my bus to move to Europe.
I'm aware of 230v & 50hz system.
What type of wire should I use and any specific breaker box or what not to be safe?
I know the 110v wires can handle 220v, but would the amps current affect in case of short circuit? Like the cable can handle, but outlets and appliances would burn, right?

Just need to know what material to buy.

Really appreciate
