Half inch plywood ok for walls?

In order to save weight,

Half inch plywood ok for walls?
1/4 inch ok?

I do NOT know what im doing at all.

What we have is 3/4 inch birch.
I wanted something for the sides of my kitchen cabinets that will not be HEAVY,

Are you going to frame the walls out or just use plywood?

the walls on my bus are 1/4" or 3/8" ply. supported by 3 horizontal 2x4s.

everything else is 3/4" plywood.

Check out 7/16" as well, for some reason sometimes its cheaper than both 1/2" or 3/8", and will still provide a nice solid surface
