High Access

I have been putting off the lens swap from front back of the red front upper lenses and rear yellow lenses. That is until yesterday. I found an easy way to reach high places on the bus that I wanted to pass along.
I drove behind the ReStore and used their loading lock. When backed up to it, I could stand on the dock and reach the lenses at chest height! To reach the front, I just stood on part in front of the windshield. Once finished and proud, I stood there thinking. Hmm. This will be the perfect place to get on the roof and wash it down. One day when they are closed so I am not in their way, I will scrub and prep the roof for painting.

Again, scaffold is your friend.

I will always have a few frames in the belly of the bus.

They invented this revolutionary product last year to specifically help with tasks like this. I can't remember what it is called but I will find a picture and post it.

I just found a picture. It looks like this.

I have step ladders. Only good to 5 feet, and no good on rough uneven ground.

I broke 5 ribs falling onto a step ladder when I was 13. I have never fallen off a ladder again.

I like my scaffold.

Hopefully Nat, most of us have more sense now than we did when we were 13.

I've since discovered I'm not ten feet tall and bullet-proof. Don't ask how I know, I just read it somewhere I think.

I fell off a ladder that came apart at the side. The bracket that keeps the front and back together tore loose at the rivet that holds it to one upright. I hate ladders now. 6 weeks of physical therapy on my knee and back.

Mission accomplished, but have to say I was thinking the same thing while reading the post, CRAZYCAL, that was humorous.

Not so much. I've been injured many times by many things but still use those items all the time. I can't count how many times I smashed myself with a hammer but continue to use one. I drink my tea scalding hot. I have burned myself but still drink my tea the same way. I'm kind of a klutz sometimes and bang, bruise or cut myself. A scaffold is great to have but not everyone can have one unless you want to use something like this.

But you are guaranteed to not get injured if you perform this dance before you climb a ladder.

Wow, I.... umm.. now that I've been through the Safety Dance training, I can't even remember why we thought a ladder was needed anyway. I always thought that song was weird and now with a video to go with it, it isn't any less weird.

If you can't figure that one out, have a go at this one.
