Gosh, I really wish we had all gotten together out there, Branden! Jason (lapeer20m) and I did meet up to check out each other's buses.

What you describe certainly sounds like your radiator fan, and it was probably operating normally, with the belt just a tad on the loose side. Replacing the belt and maintaining the tension should be considered normal maintenance.

I am just settling back into the real world after my first burning man. And exploring my options for next year. Great to see other burners here. Have been thinking about a bus conversion ever since I saw Sticky Paul's conversion at the Kerrville Folk Fest years ago. The logistics of getting a camp and bikes to the desert 2000 miles away make a bus conversion way more attractive than an RV to me.
