How to get 110 power while bus is running off 12v

I would like to power some 110v electronics while the bus is running. I was going to get a 2k watt inverter and a suicide cord which is a male to male plug, would that work?

why the male - male plug? just get an inverter and wire it in etc for 110v when in motion. just get one big enough and dont use big power hungry devices.

get an inverter that has more capacity then you need.. something like a 3000/6000 one. You never know when you will want to add something on the spur of the moment. Besides that, have an adequate house battery bank..
