When I was a house painter for a decade, we used krud kutter all the time. But it only cleans it does not degloss. It works great to get a surface clean in prep but if you need to degloss it isn't what you need. Get a degloss in the paint section. It comes in gallon sizes and I'd plenty for a bus. You don't need to use it straight either. You can dilute it with water if you just need to break the surface for new paint.

I bought some deglosser with every intention of using it, but just couldn't use it. It was too easy. So I hand-sanded the entire 35' bus with #220. It is a great way to get intimate with your bus while preparing for the next Karate Kid movie part.

Wash the beast with phosphate detergent- TSP. Post pictures of your adventure.
