Making a trailer hitch.

I needed a trailer hitch when I pick up my bus named Texas from Texas. I went on craigslist and found a new takeoff from a Ford truck rated at 17,500# with a weight distributing hitch. The price was $125. There were some as cheap as $50 but not as heavy duty. Main problem is it is made for a frame width of 37 inches. The solution was to cut the square tubing away from the ends then move the ends in for a 34 inch frame width and reweld. I included a link but I can't figure out how to put the pictures in order.
