New roof covering material

Hey fellow Skoolies!
I went to the Tampa RV Supershow this past weekend. Mostly to look at the vendors. I came across this vendor. They spray a material over your roof and guarantee no leaks. Has anyone priced work through them or have any experience with them?

No, I've not heard of it.

But a couple $15 tubes of seam sealer will take care of a bus' roof for at least a decade properly applied.

That stuff sounds a lot like bed coat used in pickup beds.

did you put it around things like your roof vent and such or at each of the seams for the roof panels?

Spray on Flex Seal is all it is. It's just a Polyurea coating, been around a long time. They just figured out another application for it.
Google Polyurea Coatings

Yeah, roof vents, seams, anything that needs to be sealed, or any seams.
I used butyl tape and lap sealant on my rv roof vent. But for general leak-proofing just keeping a good seam seal on the roof seams, vents etc is cheap and pretty easy.

ive used spray on flex seal before as a test on various things.. and its prep-prep-prep. is all I can say about it.. the stuff is pretty good but it doesnt like to stick to anything shiny and definitely nothing dirty.. im not sure what the new RV roof coating is.. depending on cost I mioght be inclined to bedline a roof since that is fairly cheap and people seem to have good luck with it as. DIY product.. only downside of bedlining is I think its all darker colors.. and you definitely want white on the roof.. unless you are spending all your time in cold climates

Hello,
Any suggestions how to block leak, coming in from the rear roof vent.

Is it a roof vent or hatch?
Either way- they will leak if now eventually. Delete the passive vent for sure, and if you have a power vent look at its design and decide how well it would keep out water.
All these buses need to not leak is a properly seam sealed roof, and the deletion of the major leak sources.

Hello.
Thank you.
It is a pop out escape hatch. I just bought a 98 International skoolie. Converting to tiny home. Discoved the leak, in what I thought was a watertight bus.

I don't think there are very many watertight school buses.
The roof hatch is pretty much designed to leak.

Agreed. We plan to spray/roll flexseal to seal our entire bus' interior, then we''re applying the thermal reflective paint on the roof. Doing the entire interior has the benefit of creating an incredible vapor lock for better insulation to anyone not doing closed-cell spray-foam
