Parents tried to talk me down but, I bought a bus!

Hello all, I've been this site for awhile and I finally found my bus (and the guts to buy it). I have what I assume is an International(1983-6?) with a DT466 engine, Allisson Automatic transmission, air brakes, and 13000 miles showing on the odometer. It appears to be in good mechanical order(fingers crossed). Haven't picked it up yet so any advice, ideas, etc would be greatly appreciated.(and much needed).

I have to ask... You said Conventional, that would suggest that its a Dog-Nose?

*edit* International, Conventional, I see them as the same thing... ^.^

Sorry about posting in the wrong area! Thanks for the welcomes. It is a dog nose, Standard length. I plan on taking it to music festivals like Bonnaroo in TN and also white water rafting in WV. Basic camping really...nothing too fancy like flat screens and full size showers. Gonna start with framing in a couple bunks, front area with table and seating, and a rear bed/bunk. enough to sleep 6 hopefully. Gonna skip out on kitchen and bathroom for now in hopes of getting her ready by late May. I'll add pics soon as I hope to be starting the seat removal in about two weeks. Thanks again for welcoming me to the site! Lots of great info here!

Great bus

Welcome to the neighborhood. You mentioned just 13K miles What? Ya got a good body and maker with a super engine. Is the engine with turbo? Take the bus for lots of rides and become one with the bus. Take friends and truck drivers when ya can to get all the information ya can. Use the bus with just a few seats before ya determine the plan. Frank in Idaho

The odometer is showing 13k miles but I assume it has rolled. Not sure if the engine is turbo or not...i'll be picking it up this coming Saturday so I should know more then. Hopefully I'll get some pics too...and get busy taking out those seats! I'm excited!
