I've got a Whynter ARC-14SH that I've used a couple of times. My bus isn't sealed very well yet and has no additional insulation either. In the hot Tennessee summer the air conditioning didn't keep up very well. It was cooler inside the bus, but not by much. I used the heat function back in October of last year. It along with a small space heater worked reasonable well (68 degrees inside/35-40 degrees outside). I've got a 40' Crown, so with that size of bus, I'm thinking I'll need two units, no matter if I keep the portable unit, or ditch it and get two roof mounted units. My biggest issue with the portable units is the amount of space they take up and dealing with the intake and exhaust hoses.
