Most of the time, it's years of use, a small crack get's bigger, then they rip apart.

The constant pounding takes it's toll. Always inspect your stuff each time you do your walk around.

Wow this thread took a strange turn. I would like to add a 3rd option of towing to this conversation.

What about using a trailer that holds just the front axle of the vehicle?
So now theres flat toping by dragging the vehicle behind the bus, the down side sounds like while turning is staining the front axles of the vehicle being towed.
and theres towing a dual axle trailer with the vehicle on top of it. whats the downside to this?

And how well does that tow 2kool4skool? Does it hide away nicely when not in use?

Not sure how to hide a 500lb dolly but here it is empty.

if your neon is a automatic you could flat tow it, other wise you have to use the car dolly like you did. That was one of the reason's why I bought a chevy sonic, it can be towed four down with a automatic tranny.

? Flat towing most automatics will overheat the transmission. You'd want to confirm the manufacturer OKs flat towing at highway speeds.

Some autos are capable of being flat towed. Saturns and some GM's IIRC.

yes, check the manual , there's quite a few auto's you can flat tow, the Honda crv up to 2015 model, was preferred with most of the rv owners, but they changed and are no longer ok to flat tow, my sonic can, but if you have the turbo model it can't, there's a guide you can get on line that tells what models with a automatic can be flat towed, much easer then a dolly
