What would you call this part?

Any idea what the round rubber fittings with embedded brass threads would be called. They fit into round holes in the dashboard and allow you to screw the attaching bolt to them.

On mine two of the "things" are perished and I can't re-attach the radio panel. I need to figure out what they are called in order to search for new ones!

be sure to use anti-seize or your screw wont come out after a while and most of the time, you cant drill em. they jsut spin.

While I am asking about what things do...

What is the function of this attachment to the Air Compressor tank? (some sort of safety valve??). One reason for asking is that there is a broken wire near to it, but I can't work out whether is should be attached to this "valve" - why would a safety valve need power/wiring?

In case "fubared" is not in the slang on your side of the "pond," it comes from the adjective "fubar," which means f---ed up beyond all repair . . . .

You guys are good! FUBAR means ther same over here (Medical term R=Recognition) So it looks like the broken wire is a heater wire. I guess not too critical given that it is not that cold over here http://www.plazafleetparts.com/uploa...stallation.pdf

I'd imagine it gets plenty cold there!

But you folks are good at handling the cold. My fiance is from Glasgow and is way better in the cooler temps than I.
when it dips below 60 or 70, I'm freezing. Decades of living near Disney World have spoiled me.
