Wiring kit to tow a toad

I am looking for a wiring kit to add to my skoolie so that i can plug my toad into and have brake lights and turn signals on car while driving. I have the base plate on my fiat and am currently working on running 4 pin wires from front to back on the little guy from a kit i purchased on amazon. Rv's usually come with a plug to hook trailers up to but how/where do you get the wiring kit for the bus?? Does anyone have a link or advice to share ? Thanks

Thanks for the reply, I am looking for the wiring kit for the bus not for the toad, which is what you had linked up

You can buy the plug at harbor freight and tie into your lights

I don't like the 4-pin flat connectors. Sure, they do the job but they're kinda flimsy and not terribly durable.

I prefer the 7-pin variety commonly found on tractor-trailers. Admittedly they cost a bit more, but they are infinitely more durable, plus I get 3 extra circuits for whatever need I may have.

They are good for running power if your toad needs to be left on in accessory

I have long since given up on using the available flat 4 wire (or 5 wire) trailer light leads because the cheezy thin strands of wire they are made of have so much line loss by the time they have traveled 10 or 15 feet that there isn't enough current to fully light the lights. Having said that I'd be quick to point out that they are fine for signal wires to operate relays whose power comes from the toads battery and then is distributed to the proper lamp via the toad's original wiring. The little 30-40 amp 5 terminal 12v relays work well for this and don't require a degree in electrical engineering to figure out. If one wants to keep the toad's battery topped off by the tow vehicle, 10 AWG wire is good for 20' @ 15 amps. Jack
