Wondering How Much Battery Power You Need?

Xantrex has a nice web calculator to help you figure that out.

I look at the wattages of appliances quite often. The other day at work, i was examining a crock pot, and it used just over 100watts. I think i'm going to buy one for the bus. That's not much power at all for a device that creates heat.

There is an excellent article at http://www.homepower.com on doing a load analysis. It has great example sheets of the most common appliances and how much power they might use in a 24 hour period. Very Good.

Good Luck

I'm going thru the same thing now trying to figure out how much is enough.

Thats a good one but this is the article I was referring to. It took me a while to find it again.
