1000 mile road trip to buy bus

On my way in the jeep this morning to Pendleton Oregon to buy a bus and tow the jeep back 1000 miles each way. ROAD TRIP
the ad:
1996 Bluebird 64 passenger ex school bus, model 300. DT 466 Diesel engine, Allison transmission. Brand new 10 ply tires. Recent batteries. All interior and exterior lighting works. Local diesel shop went through the engine September of 2017. Also installed super duty springs for better load carrying, serviced bus. Interior is bare. Class 3 trailer hitch. Quite a bit of storage, rear and side. I have a set of new tire chains if you want them. Please call with any questions. Do not text, I will not respond to texts.

I'm easily confused. You're picking up a bus and towing your jeep home on a 1000 mile trip.

Why are you giving away your snow chains? Are those chains for your bus or for your Jeep?

Good luck with your trip. Nice that you picked a mechanical diesel.

Sounds like the chains are part of the ad (along with the trailer hitch). OP isn't giving them away, the seller of the bus is.

Exciting! We went through the same process a few months back. Drove 1000+ miles out, towed our truck 1000+ back home. It took us 3 days to get home, but it was a helluva road trip. One for the ages. As nervous as we were, we just stuck to the blue highways and took the scenic route nice and slow.

Good luck on your adventure!

Oops. Didn't realize that was a verbatim of the add. Makes more sense now.
