Re: 1972 IH Ward Conversion

I got tired of my worn paint job so I painted the bus yesterday.

Re: 1972 IH Ward Conversion

I put in a cheap $30 1000 Watt circulation heater in as my water heater so that I can have heated water from my sink up front.

Re: 1972 IH Ward Conversion

Yesterday it was warm enough to go out and put on a new coat of KoolSeal on the roof, and this will help it get through winter without any leaks. No I have a bright white roof again, and everytime you paint something it makes the things you haven't painted look that much worse.

Re: 1972 IH Ward Conversion

I upgraded my trailer hookup from the six pin to the seven pin so that I can pull the car hauler around. A converter box had to be put in to make the brake lights come on since they are separate from the turn signals.

Re: 1972 IH Ward Conversion

Dan brought over one of the wheel covers from his bus to see if they would work on mine. They do! I ordered a set today and will have them on soon.

Re: 1972 IH Ward Conversion

They are chromed stainless steel, very nice you have to look close to see they are covers. They are $200 for each set of two, I will take pictures of how they work when I put them on you can put them on any truck.

Download their catalog because you can't find the kind we are using on the website without searching for the part numbers.

You get them here: http://www.jaeeagle.com/

Re: 1972 IH Ward Conversion

It heats up very quickly and my plan is to add a tank to it later. I bought it at the local farm supply store.

Re: 1972 IH Ward Conversion

I looked on tractor supply's website and didn't find it, is this similar?

http://cgi.ebay.com/KATS-12100-1000-WAT ... 08002r5736

Does it heat water as it passes through to the sink, or does it need to circulate through a few times? Seems this would be a perfect tankless water heater. Plus at 1,000 watts it should run off my 1850 watt geni. Could even wire it into my 110V electric circuit and just flip a light switch when I want hot water. I'm excited about this.
