Synthetic enamel will cover your factory paint just fine. Just remember with the enamel, it takes a long time to actually harden, usually around 21 days or so. So be careful not to scratch the newly painted surface. Once hardened, it is a very tough finish. Are you planning on rolling it on, brushing it on, or spraying it on?

Synthetic enamel should work just fine with Rustoleum primer because Rustoleum itself is a synthetic enamel. About the ceramic additive, I am not sure, never worked with the stuff. Maybe someone else here has used it and could answer that question.

I don't think converting the bus to a fifth wheel is a very good idea. Reminds me of that other guy who converted a S & S motorhome to a trailer, attached it to the rear of a 40' bus and after fiddling with the contraption ended scrapping the whole thing.

Best check the laws where you plan to turn it into a perm home. Lots of places (counties, states, etc) have laws against sleeping in anything not considered a traditional or legal home dwelling for longer than a few days (or a bit more in some places).
