Branden, I'm with you... I don't know much at all about electrical, and that is my next task along with furnature... I picked up a book from rv-busconversions.com though. Bus Wiring for Bus Nuts - An Electrifying Process with Step by Step instructions, by Dave Galey. Its very informative and I think will help me a lot.

Jake - keep it up. You're electrical posts are helping me out a lot too. Looking good;)

Plotting the next project now. Looking for a clean diesel pusher with low rust/miles. Identical plans with plumming and biodiesel added :)

Guys,

I have read the book, Andy is talking about, and I highly recommend it.

The book will take you from "knowing nothing" to being able to wire your bus. The only drawback to the book is that it deals with high end systems.

Website updates . . .

I just updated http://www.vonslatt.com

Updates are to Dinette, Lighting and Body pages.

I found an easy fix for some of my windows that wouldn't stay closed.

Very nice!

Most impressive. Your lanterns are way cool, and that one made from the wok and lamp parts is extremely neat. I like the drawer under the navstation, too. I have the exact opposite problem you do with windows: some of mine won't open because the little plastic latch handle is broken.

I had a few like that too. Miraculously, they all turned out to be ones that I painted out and sealed shut because they were behind a wall, shower stall or utility closet.

The lamp with the wok-shade looks nice but isn't very bright, MK II should be better. This winter I expect to be building a bunch of lamps (it's another hobby) and I just bought "kerosene-lamp.com" for another website.

Awesome looking pusher. I wish my 82 ran on the highway at those revs. Mine runs a whopping 3800 RPM at 60!!!! I have the Cummins 555T engine in mine. If anybody here with a Thomas pusher gets theirs regeared, I'd be highly interested in purchasing your original diff.

ACK! 3800RPM on a triple-nickel?!?! I'm stunned it hasn't let go yet. YOU DO NOT WANT THIS ENGINE TURNING ANYWHERE NEAR THAT SPEED! The 555 CUmmins is pretty fragile to begin with...there's a reason most Saf-T-Liners were repowered with Cat 3208's.
