Have you checked with Greyhound? I believe there is a bus that travels between Nashville & Huntsville. I think it stops in Pulaski. It's been a while since I was back East but you may want to check. A word of advice... DON'T SIT IN THE VERY BACK. There are scary folks who ride some of those buses. Sit up next to the driver.

You might want to check with them
Greyhound Bus Lines
215 E Madison St
Pulaski, TN 38478-3314

Thanks for that info but it might be old. The number is disconnected. I had called Greyhound before and I was told no. They said the closest they go is Athens AL. I ask if I could get off on one of the exits. Nope.

Once upon a time, long, long ago, My idiot sister (the "good" one according to my mother) ran away from home and hopped a semi truck. You could try that. OR put an ad on craigslist for a ride. Which is potentially more dangerous?

I'm assuming you will be flying into Nashville. Car rental?

Greyeagle, That is a mighty kind gesture to drive to Pulaski. I would do the same if I was still in Tennessee.

Thank you for being a supporter of us bus people.

I bet you are glad that all the ROO folks have left.

crazycal,

Good luck and have a fun trip! Looks like we will be getting started about the same time on our conversions. I plan to steal all your good ideas.

Thanks, but don't hold your breath. I am going to do a down and dirty, lickity split conversion. I want this thing ready to roll. If I plan a super fancy conversion, it won't be ready before I die. Mine will be simple... bed, sink, stove, fridge, eating area and maybe a portapotti. You are welcome to borrow any ideas I come with or that I have borrowed.

Nice bus, but then I'm kinda partial to the Genesis. Your smile muscles are gonna hurt once you start driving it. Welcome to what you wish you would have done twenty years ago...
